We are currently seeking to fill the following volunteer positions:

Business Development Coordinator (Volunteer)


The Business Development Coordinator (volunteer) will be responsible for assisting the Directors and Board of Directors for both AP and BTLC with marketing, funding, and event planning. Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Following up on new business opportunities and setting up meetings as required
  • Planning and preparing presentations when required
  • Communicating service plans through grant applications
  • Making calls to solicit donations/grants for BTLC
  • Market research as necessary
  • Fundraising proposals, planning and implementation
  • Networking, meeting new people and maintaining working relationships that will benefit the business


  • Post secondary education in Marketing or any other related business field
  • Good business acumen
  • Basic understanding of non-profit organizations
  • Self-motivated and takes initiative
  • Ability to be discrete when handling confidential information
  • Effective time management and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Enthusiasm, willingness to learn, desire to make a difference, and commitment
  • Previous experience in a non-profit environment would be an asset
