What is Autism?

Autism, or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), is a neurodevelopmental condition that affects how your child experiences and interacts with the world. Although symptoms vary, children with autism may communicate, socialize, and process information in ways that are different from neurotypical children. Many children with autism may engage in repetitive behaviours or have strong preferences for routines and focused interests.

While some traits may be shared, each person is unique. Each child has a wide variety of strengths, needs, and ways of seeing the world. Because of this diversity, supports should be personalized. We are here to help.
